I have notice from Senator John Ellis that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to clarify the position with regard to the provision of a community hospital-primary care centre in Ballinamore, County Leitrim.

I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:

The need for the Minister of Education and Science to make a statement on the urgent need for the provision of a new national school at Ballintemple national school, Crab Lane, County Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to clarify the efforts being made at North-South Ministerial Council level to advance an all-Ireland train service, particularly the upgrading of the Derry to Coleraine section of the Derry to Dublin line.

I have also received notice from Senator Pearse Doherty of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to commit formally to a plan to develop a rail line from Sligo to the city of Derry, creating an all-Ireland rail loop.

I have also received notice from Senator David Norris of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to provide funding to prevent the imminent collapse of one of Ireland's oldest national cultural institutions, the Feis Ceoil.

I regard the matters raised by Senators John Ellis, Jerry Buttimer, Cecilia Keaveney and Pearse Doherty as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised Senators John Ellis, Jerry Buttimer and Cecilia Keaveney and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Pearse Doherty may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise. I regret I have to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator David Norris as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.
