I move:

That the proposal that Seanad Éireann resolves that section 17A (inserted by section 2(1) of the Diseases of Animals (Amendment) Act 2001 (No. 3 of 2001)) of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) shall continue in force for the period ending on 8th March, 2008, be referred to the Joint Committee on Agriculture and Food, in accordance with paragraph (1) (Seanad) of the Orders of Reference of that Committee, which, not later than 8th March, 2007, shall send a message to the Seanad in the manner prescribed in Standing Order 67, and Standing Order 69(2) shall accordingly apply.''
