I have notice from Senator O'Rourke that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to give the precise up to date details of the decentralisation plans for the following three locations: Athlone, Mullingar and Longford; indicate, in the case of each location, if he will give details of the Department concerned; the planning and construction details; the numbers who have applied for transfer; the anticipated date of opening; and all other relevant matters in connection with each of these three decentralisation locations.

I have also received notice from Senator Feeney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to make a statement on the unsatisfactory situation where alleged rape victims in County Sligo have to be brought by Garda car to the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin, for medical examination; and if alternative arrangements can be put in place.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to clarify the position regarding the inequity of charging fees of over €6,000 for a student (details supplied) repeating a college year, with the allied loss of third level grant provision, in circumstances where she is relying for funding on a widowed parent, whose sole income is disability benefit, and to outline how, under natural justice, such a punitive measure can be enforced.

I have also received notice from Senator Kitt of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to confirm the up to date position of a water supply for Ballygar, County Galway.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators O'Rourke, Feeney and Bannon and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Kitt may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
