I have received notice from Senator Daly that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to restore home tuition, which was recently withdrawn for children with special needs.

I have also received notice from Senator Bradford of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to review his decision to build a new prison on Spike Island, County Cork, in view of the significant history and heritage of the island.

I have also received notice from Senator Morrissey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to outline the progress made towards improving the bus licensing system and facilitating increased participation of private operators in the bus transport market.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.

I remind Members that because of difficulties arising from the practice whereby Senators gave notice of matters on the Adjournment over the telephone, I insisted that notice be put in writing. Some Senators remain anxious to convey notice over the telephone but, in future, they will be refused.
