I have received notice from Senator Tuffy that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to give an update on the situation of a person aged 66 to 70 years, in receipt of an old age contributory pension, with one adult dependant, namely, their spouse, who in October 2005 qualified for a medical card but who is now over the medical card income guidelines because of the increased rate in the old age contributory pension and the increased payment for qualified adult dependant under budget 2005.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to provide an update with regard to funding for community employment staff on whom the Irish Wheelchair Association relies for the provision of care, driving and other core and essential services, in its resource and outreach centres at 62 locations nationally.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
