I have received notice from Senator Kitt that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to outline the delay in approving group water schemes, public water schemes and small sewerage schemes in County Galway.

I have also received notice from Senator O'Meara of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to produce an early report on the future development of the Nenagh Castle project and to agree to a meeting with members of Nenagh Town Council as already requested.

I have also received notice from Senator Ulick Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources to respond immediately to the many wind farmers who are unable to gain access to the national grid because of the current management and monopoly of the ESB, and if he will clarify his responsibilities in this area.

I have also received notice from Senator Browne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the reasons Bennekerry national school, County Carlow, was not included in the recent school buildings programme.

I have also received notice from Senator Feighan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the time it will take to administer the new scheme for additional post-primary accommodation in Elphin community college, Roscommon.

I have also received notice from Senator Coghlan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to address the situation regarding the unanimous request of Killarney Town Council and numerous other interested parties for the provision of much-needed land at Church Road, Muckross, as a burial ground in the best interests of the entire community.

I have also received notice from Senator Bradford of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to urgently review her decision on risk equalisation in the health insurance industry and to ensure that competition in health insurance will be defended and promoted.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to outline his proposals to counteract the adverse effects, both short and long term, for home owners on the route of the designated corridor of the N4 Drumsna to Longford road improvement scheme, particularly those located on the outer fringes, as the proposed development is already affecting property sales.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Kitt, O'Meara, Ulick Burke, Browne, Feighan, Coghlan and Bradford as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Kitt, O'Meara and Ulick Burke and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Browne, Feighan, Coghlan and Bradford may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise. I regret I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Bannon as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.
