I am only reading out the announcement.

I have received notice from Senator Ulick Burke that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to indicate his plans to eliminate the situation whereby raw sewage is pumped into Kinvara Bay causing pollution, damage to wildlife and foul odours for the households in the surrounding areas and when he will provide funding for a proper treatment plant for Kinvara before a case is taken to the European Parliament.

I have also received notice from Senator Kitt of the following matter:

The need for the Minister of Justice, Equality and Law Reform to respond to raids and attempted break-ins in recent months to business and post office premises in many towns and villages in east County Galway such as Abbeyknockmoy, Ballygar, Ballinamore Bridge, Williamstown, Ahascragh and Barnaderg.

I have also received notice from Senator Feighan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to put in place a fund to provide assistance for marching bands across the country.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to clarify his position with regard to the nitrates action plan in light of its potentially devastating impact on the pig and poultry industries.

I have also received notice from Senator Browne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the progress made in respect of a devolved grant for building work at Nurney national school, County Carlow (details supplied).

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Ulick Burke, Kitt and Feighan and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. SenatorsBannon and Browne may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
