I have received notice from Senator Finucane that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to outline the measures he can take to allay the serious concerns of broiler producers in County Limerick because of uneconomic prices paid for chickens which threaten their viability as business units and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have also received notice from Senator Kenneally of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to ensure that an urgent review be carried out of the current operation of the disabled person's grant scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Feighan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the progress to date on the extension at Scoil Mhuire, Convent of Mercy, Strokestown, County Roscommon.

I have also received notice from Senator Morrissey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to report on his recommendations following extensive consultation regarding the need to increase the height of the Dublin Port tunnel.

I have also received notice from Senator McHugh of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to address the imminent cessation of the FÁS social economy programme involving the Inishowen Sustainable Community Development Association and to consider establishing a pilot social economy sector for all of Donegal.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Finucane, Kenneally, Morrissey and Feighan as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Finucane, Kenneally and Feighan and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret that I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator McHugh as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. Senator Morrissey may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
