I have received notice from Senator Ulick Burke that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to approve the report from Galway County Council for the upgrading of the pumping and storage facilities of the water system in Loughrea in order that work on the Kilrickle water scheme can be immediately started.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to clarify the position with regard to the proposed siting of a waste disposal recovery facility in Johnstown, Slanemore, Mullingar, County Westmeath, in view of the objections from local residents.

I regard the matter raised by Senator Ulick Burke as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret that I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Bannon as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.

I welcome Members back today and, on behalf of Senators, I welcome Ms Jody Blake back to the House. It is great to see her back.
