Business of Seanad.

2:30 pm

Rory Kiely (Fianna Fail)

I have received notice from Senator Bannon that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to make a statement on the up-to-date position on the application for the construction of the new swimming pool at the Mall Complex, Longford.

I have also received notice from Senator Mansergh of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide funding at the earliest opportunity for the repair and refurbishment of the unacceptable and substandard facilities at St. Ailbhe's vocational school, Tipperary town.

I have also received notice from Senator Feighan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to outline the reason the decentralisation of 10,000 jobs announced over three and a half years ago to areas which had not previously benefited from decentralisation such as counties like County Roscommon has still not commenced and if there are any proposals for decentralisation to Roscommon, Boyle, Castlerea and Ballaghaderreen.
