I move:

That Dáil Éireann, pursuant to Article 29.5.2 of Bunreacht na hÉireann, approves the terms of the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction (known as the 'BBNJ Agreement'), adopted at the United Nations in New York on 19th June, 2023 and signed by Ireland on 20th September, 2023 the text of which was laid before Dáil Éireann on 16th September, 2025 subject to a Declaration pursuant to Articles 10(1) and 70 of the Agreement relating to the non-retroactivity of provisions regarding certain marine genetic resources and digital sequence information collected and generated prior to the entry into force of the Agreement.
