I ask Members to join me in extending a warm céad míle fáilte, namaste, to my counterpart from Nepal, H.E. Mr. Dev Raj Ghimire, who has joined us in the Distinguished Visitors Gallery. The Speaker is accompanied by Mr. Padma Prasad Pandey, Secretary of the House of Representatives and Mr. Deepesh Man Shakya, President of the Nepal Ireland Society and the person who is doing most to strengthen relationships between our two countries. They are very welcome.

We are discussing legislation on electing directly a mayor for one of the countries' largest cities. I do not know what you do in Nepal, but we are trying this out as an experiment here.
