I must now deal with a postponed division relating to amendment No. 2, in the name of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, to the motion on the assessment of the national development plan. On Tuesday, 11 June 2019, on the question that the amendment to the motion be agreed to, a division was claimed and, in accordance with Standing Order 70(2), that division must be taken now.

I move amendment No. 1:

(a) To insert the following after “to deliver on this declaration; and”:“— there was no climate impact assessment undertaken of the NDP prior to its publication and subsequent modelling has shown that if every initiative in the plan were to be implemented, there would remain a shortfall of 70 per cent in emissions reductions by 2030; and”; and(b) To insert the following after “overall budget and its allocation across projects”:“— revise the NDP to ensure the achievement of the interim 2030 emissions reductions target and subsequently a net zero emissions economy by 2050.”
