It is proposed, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, that, in relation to today’s business, Tuesday proposals No. 1 and 2 as contained in the first revised report of the Business Committee are hereby agreed to and, in relation to Thursday’s business, the Dáil shall sit at 10 a.m. to take statements on the nurses’ and midwives’ strike to which the following arrangements shall apply: statements of a Minister or Minister of State and the main spokespersons for parties and groups, or a Member nominated in their stead, shall not exceed ten minutes; following the statements, each party or group shall have five minutes each which shall consist of alternating questions and answers; there will be a five-minute response from a Minister or Minister of State; and all Members may share time. Oral parliamentary questions to the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform shall take place immediately following the sos.
