Before I call Deputy Bríd Smith, on my behalf and on behalf of the Members of the Dáil, I want to offer a céad míle fáilte, a most sincere welcome, to Dr. Don Ritchie, historian emeritus of the United States Senate, who is joined by his wife, Anne, and by Peter Glennon from the US Embassy. Dr. Richie is visiting Ireland for a history conference in Galway. We are pleased to welcome such a distinguished historian to Leinster House today. I hope he finds his visit useful and to our mutual benefit.
