The Government Chief Whip has a business proposal to put to the House.

I am getting good at this. It is proposed notwithstanding any order or resolution of the Dáil this week that the resumed proceedings on Report and Final Stages of the Planning and Development (Housing) and Residential Tenancies Bill 2016 shall adjourn tonight at 8 p.m., if not previously concluded. Can I please ask everybody, with respect to the staff of the House, to make sure we conclude before 8 o'clock?

Is that proposal agreed? Agreed. In agreeing that, I point out to the Members of the House that it is very much at variance with an understanding arrived at earlier by members of the Business Committee and it is a decision that is very unfair to the staff of the Houses. Let us proceed with the work we now have decided upon.
