As this is a Private Members' Bill, it must, under Standing Orders 84A and 141, be referred to a select or special committee. The relevant committee in this instance is the Select Committee on Education and Skills.

I move:

That the Bill be referred to the Select Committee on Education and Skills pursuant to Standing Orders 84A and 141.

As this is the final item on our agenda, I thank Members on all sides of the House for their co-operation during this very interesting term. Those people who understand politics know how exhausted Members are at present. It has been an extremely difficult and demanding year so I hope Members avail of the opportunity over the summer for some downtime and some family time because it is richly deserved.

I also thank Mr. Peter Finnegan, Secretary General, and all the staff of the Houses for their superb support. I include in that our Superintendent, Paul Conway, and senior usher, Colm O'Rourke, because we have to be conscious of the huge hours and dedication they have shown in the service of the Houses over the past year.

Question put and agreed to.

The Dáil adjourned at at 7 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, 27 September 2016.
