I move:
That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to facilitate certain persons unable to vote at polling stations due to being on holiday to make an application to have their names entered into the postal voters list; for that purpose to amend the Electoral Act 1997; and to provide for related matters. This is a short Bill. We very often come across people who cannot vote because they are on holidays on polling day. This would make a difference to a small number of people. Where we can, we should facilitate anybody who wants to vote.

Since this is a Private Members' Bill, Second Stage must, under Standing Orders, be taken in Private Members' time.
