I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Ann Phelan - the need for the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs to respond to the recent report of the Health Information and Quality Authority into child services in the Carlow-Kilkenny area; (2) Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn - the recent report of the Garda Ombudsman; (3) Deputy Charles Flanagan - Garda Síochána covert human intelligence sources and the consequences for the criminal justice system as a result of last week's special report of the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission; (4) Deputies Patrick Nulty and Róisín Shortall - the implications here of the European Court of Justice ruling with respect to the pension scheme of former Waterford Crystal workers; (5) Deputy Gerald Nash - the proposed pilot scheme for dealing with distressed mortgages announced by the Central Bank of Ireland; (6) Deputy Jim Daly - the need to introduce a new scheme to take the place of the current employment assist schemes; (7) Deputy Gerry Adams - the failure of the Health Service Executive's treatment abroad scheme to allow a person (details supplied) in County Louth to receive treatment abroad; (8) Deputy Catherine Byrne - the need to address the difficulties surrounding theft and illegal profiteering from charity clothing banks; (9) Deputy Derek Keating - the need to provide extensions to Thomas' junior national school, Esker, and Scoil Áine Naofa senior national school, Esker, Lucan, County Dublin; (10) Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin - the need to discuss the closure of the vital services at the Santa Maria respite facility in St. Vincent's on the Navan Road, Dublin; (11) Deputy John O'Mahony - the plans in place for the further roll-out of Student Universal Support Ireland grants for the coming academic year; (12) Deputy Dan Neville - the appointment of 477 mental health and suicide prevention staff provided for by the allocation of €35 million in 2013; (13) Deputy Billy Kelleher - the need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the Higgins report; (14) Deputy Mick Wallace - the publication of the report on penalty points cancellations by members of An Garda Síochána; (15) Deputy Clare Daly - to discuss the hunger strike and conditions in Guantanamo Bay; (16) Deputy Eamonn Maloney - the need to review upward-only rent reviews; (17) Deputy Mattie McGrath - the funding situation for the independent commercial radio sector in Ireland and the need to review the distribution of the licence fee for independent broadcasters; and (18) Deputy Tom Fleming - the need for the Central Bank of Ireland to engage MABS, rather than a UK company, to act as an intermediary with 750 mortgage bank clients.

The matters raised by Deputies Patrick Nulty and Róisín Shortall, Ann Phelan, Catherine Byrne and Billy Kelleher have been selected for discussion.
