I move:
That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to provide an interim legislative arrangement, as required by the Council of Europe, for termination of pregnancy where as a matter of probability a real and substantial risk to the life of the pregnant woman exists; to make provision for the prevention of any curtailment, hindrance or preclusion of such treatment that may arise as a result of the pregnancy of the woman; and to provide for related matters.I do so on behalf of Deputies Wallace, Joan Collins and myself, with the support of the United Left Alliance, as an interim measure requested by the Council of Europe.

Since this is a Private Members' Bill, Second Stage must, under Standing Orders, be taken in Private Members' time.
