I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss a matter of national importance, namely, the urgent need for the Government to determine what procedures were employed in awarding the very sensitive and lucrative 2011 Irish national census contract worth â¬6 million to CACI, an international consulting firm that has been associated with human rights abuses at the notorious Abu Ghraib detention centre in 2004; and to determine whether adequate investigations were carried out by those charged with conducting the competition into the information provided by the US Government's Pentagon report, entitled Investigation of Intelligence Activities at Abu Ghraib, which implicated CACI with regard to abusive activities.
