I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy James Bannon - the need for the Minister for Health and Children to explain the reason a teenage girl should suffer and her health deteriorate while essential funding to allow vital spinal surgery is not available, although timely surgical treatment is essential; (2) Deputy Kieran O'Donnell - to call on the Minister to make a statement on what plans he has to remove the airport travel tax in light of the serious decline in passenger numbers through Shannon Airport; and (3) Deputy Finian McGrath - the crisis at the Irish Red Cross.

The matters raised by the Deputies have been selected for discussion.
