Before coming to the Order of Business, I propose to deal with a notice under Standing Order 32. I call Deputy James Bannon.

I wish to seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the rise in unemployment among young people under the age of 25 years during the past two years, from 10% to 31% with an expected further rise this year. Extra re-training, assistance and facilities should be made available to enable young people to be ready for the jobs market when the economy picks up.

Having considered the matter raised, I do not consider it to be in order under Standing Order 32.
