I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21, and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Ulick Burke - the need to appoint a dentist to the Loughrea-Portumna area of County Galway; (2) Deputy Michael McGrath - the implementation of the Cork lower harbour main drainage scheme; (3) Deputy Joan Burton - NRA destruction of trees as a consequence of M50 works; (4) Deputy Damien English - the provision of embalming services at hospitals operated by the Health Service Executive and in particular the withdrawal of these services at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, County Meath; (5) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - the need to protect aviation jobs in north and west Dublin and in the mid-west; (6) Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh - the payment of the Christmas bonus to recipients of social welfare payments; (7) Deputy Joe Costello - the need for the Minister for Social and Family Affairs to expedite the processing of rent supplement applications; (8) Deputy James Bannon - the provision of a motorised transport grant to a disabled person who has a child with an intellectual impairment; (9) Deputy John Perry - the proposed closure of the Stiefel plant in Sligo; (10) Deputy Seán Sherlock - the need to improve conditions at Scoil Bhríde national school, Rathcormac, County Cork; (11) Deputies Deirdre Clune and Simon Coveney - the need to address the underlying causes of the recent flooding in the Cork area; (12) Deputy Tom Hayes - the need to provide a new buildings for St. Patrick's national school and for Fethard Convent national school, Fethard, County Tipperary; (13) Deputy Kieran O'Donnell - to call on the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Deputy Mary Coughlan, to implement the recommendations of the mid-west jobs task force chaired by Denis Brosnan and, in addition, to make Limerick and the mid-west a priority region for foreign direct investment; and (14) Deputy Mattie McGrath - the proposed amalgamation of Cahir Boys national school and Our Lady of Mercy national school, Cahir, County Tipperary.

The matters raised by Deputies Deirdre Clune and Simon Coveney, and Deputies Damien English, Michael McGrath and Mattie McGrath have been selected for discussion.
