Before coming to the Order of Business I propose to deal with a notice under Standing Order 32.

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the Government's inaction which has resulted in the shocking rise in live register figures with an increase of 26,700 between January and February this year, giving a countrywide total of 352,800 on the register according to the Central Statistics Office; this translates into a frightening picture at local level and my constituency of Longford Westmeath has seen an annual increase since February 2008 of 88.5% in Westmeath and 75% in Longford.

Tar éis breithnithe a dhéanamh ar an ní ardaithe, níl sé in ord faoi Bhuan Ordú 32. Having considered the matter raised, I do not consider it to be in order under Standing Order 32.
