I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Joe Costello — the need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to outline his proposals for restructuring and financing the national drugs strategy; (2) Deputy James Bannon — the provision of a new school building in respect of Forgney national school, County Longford; (3) Deputy Charlie O'Connor — to ask the Minister for Education and Science to examine the building programme for Holy Rosary national school, Ballycragh, Dublin 24, noting the particular difficulties being experienced by the school, which were highlighted this week on the Pat Kenny radio programme; (4) Deputy Michael D. Higgins — the urgent need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs and his Department to put in place such steps as he can, and meet as a matter of urgency with counterpart officials in Vietnam in order to alleviate the current impasse regarding adoptions between Ireland and Vietnam; (5) Deputy Charles Flanagan — the practices in place between the banks and the Garda Síochána in dealing with tiger kidnappings; (6) Deputy Tom Hayes — the provision of home care packages; (7) Deputy John Perry — to ask the Taoiseach if he will make a statement on the introduction of new bilingual recordings for voice annunciators in lifts and prerecorded telephone messages in public buildings including Leinster House; I first raised this matter with the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works by letter dated 19 September 2007, and later by follow up telephone calls and then another letter dated 11 November 2008; to date, I have received no reply to my representations; (8) Deputy Dinny McGinley — an cinneadh tráthnóna inné go ndúnfar láithreach an tionscal Euro Iompú Teoranta, Ghaoth Dobhair, Contae Dhún na nGall; (9) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan — the urgent need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to bring forward a strategic development zone for the stalled and unfinished housing estates across the north fringe from Belcamp to Baldoyle; if he will establish a taskforce with Fingal County Council and Dublin City Council to investigate all aspects of the pyrite contamination of houses and apartments in parts of this and other areas of north County Dublin and also immediately establish a traceability audit of all materials used from an alleged pyrite contaminated quarry in Dublin 15; and (10) Deputy Dan Neville — the need for further resources for suicide prevention programmes in times of recession.
