I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan — the need to prevent the closure of SR Technics; (2) Deputy Jan O'Sullivan — the need for the Minister for Health and Children to clarify the future role of St. John's Hospital, Limerick, including its accident and emergency department, surgery, its proposed extension and the reopening of beds that are currently closed; (3) Deputy Tom Hayes — the need to strengthen the role of county enterprise boards and expand their role in terms of job creation; (4) Deputy John O'Mahony — the removal of the rural co-ordinator from a primary school cluster; (5) Deputy Michael D. Higgins — the need to seek an end to the hostilities between the Sri Lankan armed forces and the Tamil Tigers; (6) Deputy Dan Neville — suicide among the Traveller community; (7) Deputy Joe McHugh — the outbreak of a considerable number of burglaries in that part of the Derry city hinterland that is in the Republic; and (8) Deputy Joe Costello — the need for the Department of Education and Science to set a deadline for the construction of a permanent school for Gaelscoil Bharra, Cabra, Dublin 7 considering that the application file was missing for four years in the Department.

The matters raised by Deputies Broughan, Tom Hayes, Neville and Higgins have been selected for discussion.
