I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Tom Sheahan — the position regarding the closure of Valentia coast guard station; (2) Deputy Tom Hayes — to confirm when a school (details supplied) will receive its long-awaited funding for a PE hall; and to discuss funding for PE halls nationally as the importance of sport and PE in education is more and more widely recognised; (3) Deputy Charles Flanagan — the position regarding the national digital radio service for the Garda Síochána; (4) Deputy Deirdre Clune — the need to ensure the regeneration of the Cork docklands area is facilitated through tax incentives; (5) Deputy Dara Calleary — the need for the Health Service Executive to commence and participate in an independent process with pharmacy representatives; (6) Deputies Simon Coveney, Seymour Crawford, Damien English and Shane McEntee — the position regarding the North-South electricity interconnector; (7) Deputy Michael Ring — the up to date position with the construction of a new premises for a gaelscoil in County Mayo (details supplied) and ask that the Minister make a full statement on the matter; (8) Deputy Dan Neville — a bypass for Adare village, Adare, County Limerick; (9) Deputy Kieran O'Donnell — to give a commitment that the accident and emergency services at St. John's Hospital, Limerick, will not be downgraded but will be retained and enhanced; that the Minister will provide us with a date as to when the teamwork consultants report on the review of acute hospital services in the mid-west will be published; and that she make a detailed statement on this matter; (10) Deputy James Bannon — to provide urgent core funding for the continuation and expansion of osteoporosis services, which are currently provided by the Irish Osteoporosis Society, which is a charitable organisation and is surviving with a skeletal staff of two to cover the entire country and which will be forced to close without such funding, leaving the public and health professionals without a point of contact; and (11) Deputy Joe Costello — to establish an independent inquiry into the death of a person (details supplied).

The matters raised by Deputies Dara Calleary; Charles Flanagan; and Simon Coveney, Seymour Crawford, Damien English and Shane McEntee have been selected for discussion.
