Before coming to the Order of Business I propose to deal with a number of notices under Standing Order 32. I will call on Deputies in the order in which they submitted their notices to my office.

I wish to seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the urgent need for the Government, in light of the death of Kevin Doyle yesterday, having taken cocaine at a party in Waterford, to reconsider the Sinn Féin Private Members' motion of May 2006 with a view to resourcing and implementing a national action plan to tackle spiralling cocaine abuse, which not only is continuing to take the lives of its consumers but is contributing heavily to the creation of an increasingly violent society as ruthless dealers continue to shoot each other as they compete in this lucrative and deadly market.

I wish to seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the threat of an all-out national strike, which is the inevitable consequence of the erosion of our democracy by the moral deficit at the heart of the Government and its leadership, as the country is forced to carry the burden of governmental excess and the lining of its pockets at the expense of the livelihoods of the workers and taxpayers.

Having considered these matters they are not in order under Standing Order 32.
