I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Joe Costello — to take adequate measures to curtail the supply of illegal fireworks at Halloween; (2) Deputy Mary Alexandra White — the results of an EU Committee report on a farm in north Kilkenny; (3) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan — to address the decision of the Health Service Executive to withdraw funding for new bed facilities at the Hamilton Park Nursing Home in Balrothery, Balbriggan; (4) Deputy Bernard J. Durkan — the need for intervention to alleviate the hardship and distress caused to recipients of rent support throughout north Kildare; (5) Deputy Tom Hayes — to confirm when the Abbey school will receive its long awaited funding for a PE hall; (6) Deputy Terence Flanagan — the need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to appoint an inspector from his Department to assess the health and safety concerns of residents of Carndonagh Road, Donaghmede and all local residents in relation to the operations carried out by Barnmore Demolition in the Baldoyle Industrial Estate. Previous communications from both myself and local residents with both Fingal County Council and Dublin City Council have been ignored. I now ask the Minister to intervene, take charge and appoint an independent official from the Department to deal with this urgent health issue; and (7) Deputy Thomas Byrne — the need for further regulation of the system of solicitors' undertakings in respect of mortgage lending.

The matters raised by Deputies Thomas Broughan, Bernard Durkan, Mary Alexandra White and Thomas Byrne have been selected for discussion.
