I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Healy — the need for the location of an emergency ambulance service in the town of Carrick-on-Suir in County Tipperary; (2) Deputy Crawford — that the Minister advise the Dáil on the personal involvement she has had with the management and staff of Monaghan General Hospital; (3) Deputy Connaughton — the matter of the backlog of applications submitted by elderly people for funding under the housing for the elderly scheme; (4) Deputy Connolly — to discuss the recommendations in the report on the circumstances surrounding the death of the late Mr. Pat Joe Walsh at Monaghan General Hospital; (5) Deputy Enright — that the Minister take steps regarding the deteriorating medical condition of a person (details supplied) awaiting an operation on their spinal cord; (6) Deputy Walsh — to discuss the immediate delay in commencing work on the affordable housing scheme at Clonakilty in County Cork; (7) Deputy Costello — the need for the Minister to review the operation of private aerodromes and private aircraft to ensure that all flights to and from this State are subject to customs checks; (8) Deputy Ring — the steps the Minister intends to take to ensure that the Health Service Executive provides transport for the elderly to attend at hospital appointments; (9) Deputy Gormley — the closure of post offices in Rathgar, Rathmines and Terenure and the need for the Minister to take urgent action to ensure the re-opening of post offices in this area; (10) Deputy Cowley — to discuss if the Minister will provide funding for an autism specific educational centre in County Mayo that would offer the same services to Mayo children with autism as is available in the Saplings Centre in County Kildare; (11) Deputy Breeda Moynihan-Cronin — the need for the Minister to address the ongoing delay in the provision of an extension to Kenmare Community Hospital, County Kerry; (12) Deputy Pat Breen — that the Minister would reconsider his decision to seek to implement the 18-month transitional bilateral agreement at Shannon from November in the light of the continued absence of an agreed EU-US open skies agreement; (13) Deputy Harkin — to discuss the situation of the provision of a site for a new community school in Ballinamore, County Leitrim; (14) Deputy Deenihan — the urgent need for a sexual assault treatment unit at Kerry General Hospital; (15) Deputy Curran — the security and custom arrangements at Weston Airport and other related matters; (16) Deputy Ferris — the situation at the proposed oil refinery at Bellanaboy; and (17) Deputy Broughan — after the recent 34% gas price hike and the looming 19.4% increase for electricity, that the Minister immediately review his directions to energy regulator CER, if he will also ensure that the needs of consumers are adequately taken into account in energy pricing policy and the regulatory structure from now on and outline what measures he intends to bring forward to address the increase in fuel and energy poverty as a result of the significant inflation in energy prices that has occurred during the last nine years.

The matters raised by Deputies Walsh, Ring, Cowley and Deenihan have been selected for discussion.
