I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Cooper-Flynn — to discuss the announcement by the Minister in connection with the western rail corridor; (2) Deputy Wall — to ask the Minister if his attention has been drawn to the problems facing the employees of companies (details supplied) in County Kildare; (3) Deputy Healy — the need for the Minister to designate south Tipperary and the south-east region category one status under the European Union regional aid for 2007-13; (4) Deputy McHugh — the plans to sell Health Service Executive lands at Tuam, Ballinasloe and Portumna, County Galway; (5) Deputy Breeda Moynihan-Cronin — the reason for the reduction of 100,000 home help hours in County Kerry between 2002 and 2004; (6) Deputy Keaveney — that the Minister discuss with her counterpart in the North issues of changing the fees structure for students from the republic attending courses in Northern Ireland; (7) Deputy Costello — the action he proposes in response to the request by the Czech Republic for the arrest and extradition of two of its nationals; (8) Deputy Crawford — to ask the Minister to ensure that transport is provided for 17 children in the Latton area of County Monaghan attending Ballybay Community College; (9) Deputy Timmins — the need for the establishment of first responder schemes on a countrywide basis giving communities access to defibrillators; (10) Deputy Allen — the decision by the Department to withdraw fuel allowance worth €12.90 per week from old age pensioner recipients; and (11) Deputy Ó Caoláin — the need for the Minister to undertake a review of road safety in the Border counties.

The matters raised by Deputies McHugh, Breeda Moynihan-Cronin, Timmins and Keaveney have been selected for discussion.
