Labhróidh mé leis an Aire faoi Ghaelcholáiste Reachrann i nDomhnach Míde. Cuirfidh mé ar an taifead go bhfuil Gaelcholáiste Reachrann i measc na nGaelcholáistí is fearr in Éirinn. Is scoil í atá tar éis duaiseanna a fháil sa cheol, sa drámaíocht, sa pheil agus san fhiontar. Téann an chuid is mó dá ndaltaí go dtí an tríú leibhéal. Thosaigh an scoil le 36 dalta. Anois tá 500 ann ach tá siad ag úsáid prefabs i scoil eile. Níl aon halla, leabharlann ná bialann ag an scoil. Like all parents, when my eldest daughter was in fifth class, we went to visit different schools in the area. We picked Gaelcholáiste Reachrann. One reason for this decision was that there was talk of a new school being built soon. Like so many other students, my daughter has gone through the whole of secondary school being taught in prefabs. Chaith sí an t-am ar fad in prefabs. She is now heading into her second year of university and the students in Gaelcholáiste Reachrann are still sitting in prefabs. How many more generations of students, cé mhéad glúnta eile, have to experience that? Planning permission was given eight years ago but it lapsed. The school applied again and got permission again but there is still no school building. Rinne na daltaí a gcuid. Shiúil siad amach ón scoil. Tá fearg orthu. Rinne an Rialtas dearmad orthu. Since 2013, the Minister's Department has spent €400,000 on new prefabs for this school. That money could have gone towards a new permanent building. Cá bhfuil an scoil bhuan nua?

Will the Minister commit to visiting Gaelcholáiste Reachrann to see for herself the conditions that the students and teachers have to put up with on a daily basis?
