I am glad the issue is being discussed on Thursday but I also question if two hours is sufficient.

The issue has serious repercussions. On Thursday, the Taoiseach should come here and make a statement about the criminal action that will be taken against the perpetrators who ran these homes and the repercussions for education, given that over 90% of primary schools are under the patronage of the Catholic Church. He should also tell us whether there be excavations on the sites of other so-called mother and baby homes? They were far from "mother and baby" homes, given that mothers were not let near their babies. This is a key issue and two hours will not be sufficient. We should be willing, if necessary, to table more. Regarding the comment on headage payments, which Deputy Burton brought up-----
