I welcome this debate. Unfortunately, what we saw on Monday night was nothing new to many of us here. Those of us who work on the front line in our constituencies are familiar with the unacceptable waiting times that have been endured by ordinary men, women and children throughout the country for many years. When we bring our concerns about the suffering of real people to this House, unfortunately we are reverted back to the HSE which gives us copy-and-paste answers. That practice has to stop.
