Order of Business

It is proposed to take No. 18a, motion re membership of committee; No. 33, statements on the European Council, Brussels, pursuant to Standing Order 102A(2)(b); and No. 5, Finance Bill 2014 - Second Stage (resumed). It is proposed, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, that No. 18ashall be decided without debate; that No. 33 shall be taken immediately following the Order of Business, that the proceedings thereon shall, if not previously concluded, be brought to a conclusion after 85 minutes and that the following arrangements shall apply: the statements shall be made by the Taoiseach and the main spokespersons for Fianna Fáil, Sinn Féin and the Technical Group who shall be called upon in that order and may share their time and shall not exceed 15 minutes in each case; a Minister or a Minister of State shall take questions for a period not exceeding 20 minutes; a Minister or Minister of State shall be called upon to make a statement in reply which shall not exceed five minutes; and that the suspension of the sitting under Standing Order 23 (1) shall take place at the conclusion of No. 33. Private Members’ business shall be No. 166, motion re mortgage arrears (resumed), to conclude at 9 p.m., if not previously concluded. Tomorrow’s business after Oral Questions shall be No. 5, Finance Bill 2014 - Second Stage (resumed), and No. 6, Social Welfare Bill 2014 - Order for Second Stage and Second Stage.
