The present Government and previous have been sitting on the Gaming Legislation issue far too long ! They started research into the issue in 2006 for God's sake ! Other countries far ahead of us took just 12 months !!The revenues the government have lost are enormous to say the least. Even if we did introduce a whole new gaming legislation it is far too late for us to compete as the whole industry has moved on in the last 10 years !! Look at Alderney , Guernsey etc who have be hubs for online gaming and are reaping the rewards. The truth is Ireland just does not get it when it comes to leading and basic man-management, We will be the last country in possibly the World to catch on to Gaming which incidentally is the fastest growing industry in the world today!! We will certainly be the last in Europe !. And to any government people reading this ''Gaming '' is not your x box or sony playstation as I can imagine that becoming confusing for you. In a nutshell the Irish government would prefer if the world stopped spinning for a few years so that they might catch up with it !!!
