Cabinet Sub-committee Meetings

Arising from the Taoiseach's response to my question, No. 4, on the Cabinet sub-committee on social policy, I am struck by the fact the committee has not met since the budget. Perhaps, if the committee had met during the budgetary time and after it, and had proofed the budget in terms of its impact on low income families, we might have had a different approach and a different outcome. What is the point in a carer's strategy if, for example, one of the decisions in the budget is to include carer's allowance as calculable income for the purposes of the family income supplement?
