Many houses are served by bio-cycle treatment systems that already have an inspection, maintenance and management contract, which is dictated by planning permission conditions. Local authorities must have sight of the maintenance agreement signed with various contractors. For instance, compared to a house with a concrete septic tank that operates on such a system, a complex bio-cycle system is much more expensive to install and maintain and attracts an annual maintenance charge by an outside company. Will relief be available for those people using the bio-cycle system?
