I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss a matter of national and local importance, namely, the danger of fatalities across the country due to the Government's mismanagement of the health sector and the unacceptable number of patients on trolleys in accident and emergency departments, with yesterday's countrywide figure of 492 patients rising towards last week's high of 569 and, locally, a total of 21 patients waiting on trolleys at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, which is heading towards last week's figure of 29.
