Requests to move Adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32
11:00 am
Frank Feighan (Roscommon-South Leitrim, Fine Gael)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss a matter of national importance, namely, the continued administration of the Quinn Group and the huge financial costs occurred thereon owing to administration fees and penalties, the viable plan to recover the company from administration and to facilitate full repayment of €2.8 billion to Anglo Irish Bank, which effectively is the Irish taxpayer, the need to secure the future of 6,000 jobs in the Quinn Group and the need for the Minister for Finance to state his views on this issue of national importance and, more important, to state what he intends to do about it.
