As a representative for Longford-Westmeath in the proposed Shannon River basin district, an area which relies on recreational fishing for the tourism industry, I ask the Tánaiste when we may expect the inland fisheries consolidation Bill to be published and brought before the House for debate. As the Tánaiste will know, the tourism industry in the midlands is on its knees as we speak. Fewer visitors are coming to our country.
