Electricians' Strike.

I will call on the Deputies who tabled questions to the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment in the order in which they submitted their questions to my office.
Deputy James Bannon asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she will intervene in the electricians' strike which is putting thousand of jobs at risk here at a time when the cost in terms of rising unemployment figures and social breakdown would be disastrous, with unemployment having reached 11.9%, the second highest level in Europe, and 413,500 people signing on the live register, with the Taoiseach predicting 0.5 million to be unemployed by the end of the year.
