We are due to get the Adoption Bill 2008 from the Seanad soon, but the bilateral agreements with Vietnam and Russia are still outstanding and hundreds of families throughout the country cannot adopt because the agreements have broken down. It is important that is resolved before the Bill goes through. Will the Tánaiste treat this as a matter of urgency? Will a high-level ministerial delegation go to Vietnam to deal with the issue? There is a different issue in Russia, but will the Government address the issues urgently for the hundreds of families throughout the country who want to adopt?
