I seek the adjournment of the Dáil to discuss the following matter of national and regional importance, namely, the need for the Ministers for Transport and Finance to reverse the decision to halt the building of 78 major road schemes, including the N2 Dublin to Derry primary route from Clontibret, County Monaghan, to the border with County Tyrone, which involves the essential bypass of the town of Emyvale, County Monaghan; and the need to proceed with these schemes to complete essential transport infrastructure and to prevent further redundancy and ensure continuing employment in the already depressed construction industry.
