I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss the following matter of urgent national importance, namely, the unacceptable situation which has arisen at Beaumont Hospital where women who are referred from Drogheda's Dóchas breast cancer centre are not being given appointments for BreastCheck follow-up and the centre is no longer permitted by the HSE to set these appointments in Drogheda, thereby leaving women who were referred by their GP for BreastCheck follow-up waiting, possibly for months, and the need to sort out this mess to ensure women in need of services receive them quickly and efficiently as any delay could possibly endanger their lives.
