I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss an issue of local and national importance, namely, the need for the Minister for Transport to make an urgent statement to the Dáil on the breakdown of talks between the board and management of Aer Lingus and SIPTU, and if he will ensure that the full mechanisms of the State's industrial relations apparatus will be utilised to facilitate the resumption of those talks with the aim of avoiding at all costs serious disruptions for the travelling public and the Aer Lingus workforce and a severe setback for the whole economy of north and west Dublin.
