I seek the adjournment of Dáil Éireann under Standing Order 32 to debate an urgent matter of national importance, namely, the health and environmental risks associated with the presence of very high levels of chromium 6, allegedly the second most dangerous carcinogen known to man, in Haulbowline, County Cork, on the old Irish Steel Ispat site, the reported disputes between the Government and contractors operating at the site concerning the health and safety aspects of removing the waste and allegations that State agencies may be involved in a cover up in regard to this potentially lethal issue, which is a cause of major concern this morning in Cobh, Cork Harbour, the Cork area, in particular, and on the national airwaves.
