Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32
10:30 am
Fergus O'Dowd (Louth, Fine Gael)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss an issue of urgent national importance, namely, the continuing bed crisis at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where some patients on trolleys, awaiting admission, were asked to vacate them for others more seriously ill and the fact that a leading surgeon has recently warned the HSE that the acute hospital situation in the north east was very unsafe.
