I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to address the following matter of national importance requiring urgent consideration, namely, the mounting toll of job losses throughout the country, including the loss of 130 jobs at Grove Turkeys, Smithboro, County Monaghan, and the need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment and the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to act to avert these losses as well as address urgently the development deficit in the Border region which leaves the local economy there more vulnerable than other regions to any economic slowdown.
